NYSC 2025 Mobilization Process; A Step-by- Step Guide (Updated)
If you’re a fresh graduate gearing up for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC),You’re on the final lap before proudly wearing that khaki. But before the excitement of deployment kicks in, you need to go through the NYSC mobilization process—a series of important steps that will determine whether or not you’re eligible to serve.
This guide breaks everything down step-by-step, so you don’t miss a beat. Whether you’re just clearing out of school or already anticipating your call-up letter, this post will walk you through what to expect.
Step 1: Complete Your Final Clearance at School
Before anything else, you must complete your final clearance at your institution. This is the official confirmation that you’ve fulfilled all academic and financial obligations. Without clearance, you won’t get your statement of results—and without that, no NYSC for you.
Step 2: Get Your Statement of Results
After clearance, the next document to get is your statement of results (for B.Sc. or HND holders). This is a key requirement for NYSC registration, both online and at the orientation camp.
Note: If your statement of results isn’t ready, you won’t be allowed into the NYSC camp. Foreign-trained graduates must present the original certificate.
Step 3: Register at Your School’s Student Affairs Office
While waiting for your statement of results, visit the Students’ Affairs Directorate in your institution to begin your mobilization registration. This helps your school include your details in the next batch to be uploaded to the NYSC portal.
Step 4: Check the JAMB Matriculation List
Before you go any further, verify that your name appears on the JAMB Matriculation List. If it doesn’t, you’re not eligible for NYSC, no matter your school’s clearance.
You can check your status here: https://jamb.gov.ng
Step 5: Confirm Your Name on the NYSC Senate List
Once your school uploads eligible candidates to the NYSC portal, head to the NYSC website and check if your name is on the Senate List. If your name isn’t there, you won’t be able to register online.
Step 6: NYSC Online Registration
If your name appears on the Senate List, you’re good to go! Head to https://portal.nysc.org.ng and complete your online registration. During this process, you’ll fill in your details, upload your passport photo, and choose preferred deployment states.
Step 7: Print Your Call-Up Letter
After a successful online registration, wait for your call-up letter. This important document tells you:
- The state you’ve been deployed to
- Your reporting date
- The orientation camp address
Important: Print your call-up letter in color. Do not laminate it,it must be submitted in its original form.
