NYSC and CLTC Commit to Stronger Collaboration – NYSC 2025
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening its partnership with the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC), describing the centre as a vital ally in shaping the orientation experience for corps members..
NYSC’s Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, made this known when he received the new Director General of the CLTC, Rinsola Abiola, during a courtesy visit to the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja.
General Nafiu congratulated Abiola on her appointment and praised the longstanding synergy between both organisations. He stressed that NYSC would continue to provide the support needed for CLTC to achieve its mandate..
“We value our partnership with the CLTC. Your centre has been instrumental to the success of our orientation courses over the years, and we are committed to doing even more together,” he said.
In her remarks, Abiola described NYSC as a “great partner” and promised to sustain and expand on the gains achieved by her predecessor. Reflecting on her own youth service year in Enugu State, she commended NYSC’s focus on youth engagement, empowerment and re-orientation values she said align closely with the CLTC’s mission.
With both agencies pledging to work even more closely, the future looks bright for corps members who will benefit from strengthened leadership and citizenship training during their service year.
