NYSC Enugu Kicks Off Orientation Lecture Series for 2025 Batch B Stream 1 Corps Members
The campgrounds in Enugu were buzzing with energy and anticipation as the NYSC officially flagged off its Orientation Lecture Series for the 2025 Batch B Stream 1 corps members.
In a ceremony held at the camp, the Enugu State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Oluwakemi Awolola, declared the lecture series open ushering in a vital phase of the corps members’ orientation journey. More Than Just Drills: It’s Time to Sharpen Minds.
Describing the lecture series as the intellectual heartbeat of the orientation course, Mrs. Awolola explained that this part of the program is designed to prepare corps members beyond the camp experience. “This is where the real thinking begins,” she said. “These sessions will challenge your minds, broaden your perspectives, and equip you with the values and knowledge you need not just to succeed during your service year, but to make meaningful impact wherever you go.”
From career development to leadership, civic responsibilities to entrepreneurship, the series features talks by seasoned professionals and thought leaders across diverse fields.
Mrs. Awolola didn’t hold back her admiration for the new corps members, praising their energy, discipline, and willingness to learn.“You are intelligent, purposeful, and filled with the kind of spirit this country needs,” she said. “Embrace this opportunity. Ask questions. Take notes. Engage with your facilitators. This is your moment to grow.”
With that, the lecture series was officially declared open and the intellectual adventure began. As the days roll by, corps members in Enugu State can look forward to meaningful conversations, thought-provoking sessions, and a chance to learn from some of the best minds in the country. Because NYSC isn’t just about service, it’s also about becoming a better version of yourself.
