Lecture Series Kicks Off at NYSC Kaduna Camp for Batch B Stream 1 2025 corp members.

A new chapter of learning and growth has officially begun for 2025 B1 Corps Members at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp in Kaduna, as the much-anticipated Lecture Series was formally declared open this week. Set against the backdrop of camaraderie and anticipation, the series marks a pivotal part of camp life, one that promises to challenge, inspire, and prepare Corps Members for both service and life beyond the khaki.
In his welcome address, Mr. Haruna Samaila, Head of Lectures, set the tone for what lies ahead. He emphasized that the lecture series is more than just a routine schedule, it’s a platform for personal and professional development.“These sessions are designed to equip you not only for your service year,” he said, “but to empower you with the mindset and tools to make meaningful contributions wherever you find yourselves. From leadership to life skills, from community impact to national values, the lectures are built to spark transformation.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza, formally launched the lecture series with a powerful reminder: learning is a two-way street. She encouraged Corps Members to be active participants, ask questions, engage speakers, and absorb as much as they can.

Highlighting the diverse topics to be covered, she noted that sessions would include:

•NYSC Orientation Values

Security Awareness

•Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED)

all delivered by seasoned professionals and respected voices across sectors.

The series kicked off with a high-impact session on “Personal Security and Safety delivered by Retired Commodore David Nabaida of the Nigerian Navy. Drawing from his vast experience, he discussed real-life security risks and shared practical tips for staying safe during service. His core message was clear and unforgettable You have the utmost responsibility for your personal safety.”

The learning didn’t stop there. The series continued with:
•“Deployment and Relocation by Mr. Mohammed Usman, who explained the NYSC posting processes and answered burning questions about redeployment.

•“Service Innovation by Mrs. Olubukola Okubanjo, who challenged Corps Members to think creatively about their roles and opportunities to make a difference.

As the days go on, the lecture series in Kaduna promises to be a cornerstone of this orientation experience not just a requirement, but a launchpad for responsible service and thoughtful leadership.
