The race to the Big Brother Naija Season 10 grand finale has intensified as the competition enters its final stage. With the finale drawing closer, the stakes have become higher for the remaining housemates.

Three housemates have already secured their places in the grand finale. Sultana earned her spot after winning the Week 9 Head of House challenge, while Mensan advanced after being named the Most Influential Player of the Week. Kaybobo also secured a place in the final after answering the red telephone and receiving immunity.

With those three housemates safe, ten other contestants were placed on the eviction list. Their survival in the competition depended entirely on viewers voting to keep their favourite housemate in the game.

Before revealing the voting results and eviction outcome, here is a breakdown of how the Week 9 nomination process unfolded in the Big Brother Naija house.

Sultana Wins Week 9 Head of House Challenge

The battle for power in Biggie’s house took another dramatic turn when Sultana emerged victorious in the Week 9 Head of House challenge. Her win came after defeating Faith, who had earlier claimed the interim Head of House title during the Sunday eviction show.

Faith was unable to defend the title in the new challenge, allowing Sultana to take control of the house for the week.

With this victory, Sultana gained automatic immunity from eviction and secured a guaranteed spot in the grand finale. As Head of House, she also gained exclusive access to the Big Brother condo along with the privilege to draw from the Tree of Trinkets.

While Sultana celebrated her victory, Rooboy faced the biggest setback of the night.

After delivering the weakest performance during the Head of House games, Big Brother awarded him the Snail of the House title. This automatically placed him among the housemates nominated for possible eviction in Week 9.

Most Influential Player of the Week

Mensan emerged as the Most Influential Player of the Week after receiving nominations from fellow housemates.

This recognition did not only highlight his impact in the house but also guaranteed him direct entry into the grand finale. With this advantage, Mensan became one of the safest contestants heading into the final week.

Red Telephone Twist

Another major twist occurred when Kaybobo answered the red telephone placed inside the house.

After successfully responding to the mysterious call, Big Brother rewarded him with immunity. This immunity automatically secured Kaybobo a place in the grand finale alongside Sultana and Mensan.

Unlike previous weeks, the usual red envelope nomination challenge was not used during Week 9.

Instead, Big Brother automatically placed every housemate without immunity on the eviction list. This decision meant that only the three immune housemates were safe from nominations while the remaining contestants faced possible eviction.

HoH Veto Save Privilege

Following her Head of House victory, Sultana was asked to visit the Tree of Trinkets to determine the power she would receive for the week.

The trinket she selected read “Save One.”

This meant she had the opportunity to rescue one nominated housemate from the eviction list. Big Brother then allowed each nominated housemate to make a pitch directly to Sultana explaining why they deserved to stay in the competition and reach the grand finale.

After listening to every appeal, Sultana made a surprising decision. She chose not to save any housemate, leaving the nomination list unchanged.
