JAMB Adjusts 2026 UTME First Session Arrival Time to 7:00 a.m.
JAMB Adjusts 2026 UTME First Session Arrival Time to 7:00 a.m.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a slight adjustment to the arrival time for candidates scheduled for the first session of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME.).
In an official notice released on Monday via its verified X (formerly Twitter) account, JAMB stated that candidates assigned to the first session should now arrive at their examination centres by 7:00 a.m., instead of the previously scheduled 6:30 a.m.
Despite this change, the board confirmed that the first session examination will still commence at 8:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m. The adjustment was introduced to make it easier for candidates to travel to their centres without the challenges associated with very early morning movement, particularly safety and transportation concerns.
In a related development, JAMB has also made adjustments to CBT examination venues for some candidates ahead of the forthcoming UTME.
Candidates are strongly advised to reprint their examination slips to confirm their updated examination centre, date, and time. This step is necessary to avoid confusion on the day of the examination. All candidates are encouraged to reprint their slips to ensure the accuracy of their examination details. You should carefully review your centre, date, and session before proceeding to your exam venue.
Candidates are urged to treat this notice as important and act promptly. Kindly share this information with other candidates to ensure everyone is well informed.
The Jamb 2026 UTME is scheduled to hold from April 16 to April 25, 2026, with four sessions conducted daily from Monday to Friday at accredited CBT centres across Nigeria.
